Leon Junior began with a simple idea: make the news easier for young minds to understand.

The site was created by Erik, a father of three endlessly curious kids who ask great questions about the world every day. He wanted to create a place where his children—and families everywhere—could enjoy free, easy-to-understand access to the latest news, without the complexity and jargon often found in traditional news outlets.

Rather than shielding his kids from current events, Erik wanted to help them understand what was happening around them in a way that was accurate, balanced, and age-appropriate. That idea became Leon Junior.

Leon Junior wouldn't be what it is without Doris, Erik's partner and biggest supporter. She has been by his side from the very beginning—encouraging every idea, celebrating every milestone, and believing wholeheartedly in the mission to make learning accessible to every child. Together, they share a love of learning and a belief that curiosity should always be encouraged, one question at a time.

Our goal is simple: turn today's biggest stories into clear, engaging articles that young readers can understand and enjoy. Whether it's science, technology, space, sports, world events, or inspiring stories, every article is written to help children build their knowledge, expand their vocabulary, and develop critical thinking skills—all while staying curious about the world around them.
